The end of my weekend away

Cheshunt, Hertfordshire

Looks like I've booked my first weekend away on tour.

My weight loss / get fit journey

Dinner is cooking so I thought I would give you all an up date.

Even though I was disappointed on Tuesday, that I only lost 1lb, I have since been reflecting on my weight loss / get fit journey.

Thinking about it 1lb is a good loss, if I had put on 1lb then I would have something to be upset about. So far since the 24th January I have lost a total of 18lb / 1 stone 4lb.

I spent this morning trying to think what 18lb / 1stone 4lb is equivalent to and I came up with this........... 3 small babies born at 6lb each!!! That's pretty amazing really. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

As well as changing my eating and cooking habits for the better I am also more active...... even trying to teach myself to run.

Personal I feel I still have a way to go in my journey but I am much happier and I am even sleeping better. I'm not too sure what I want my target weight to be yet but I'm sure I will know when I get there.

When I joined Slimmimg World, I thought all I would get out of it was to lose weight but I have gained so much more.

Weight loss, feeling more confident about myself, educating myself about food, trying new foods, more active, more energy, making new friends and in a strange sort of way a counselling session. After being weighed we sit in a group and we take it in turns to tell everyone what has worked or not worked and why things haven't worked that week. It's a great support.

If any of you are thinking about joining Slimmimg World, I would say stop thinking about it and do it.
