Ah – the bit I don’t like because what happens between Dani and myself is personal so I’ll go down a different path in this report. I last saw Dani almost 3 months ago and had made a booking for 25/11 (would have been my 5th visit) but an emergency trip to hospital intervened (for the next 5 weeks) where apparently I was knocking on the pearly gates before being let out 2 days before Xmas and since then to begin the “recovery” back to hopefully normality. What has this got to do with Dani? Once I'd been transferred from ICU/HDU to a ward I was able to get my mobile and a laptop and I was then able to communicate with Dani to let her know what was going on. This LADY has been a godsend to me for this LADY has been genuinely concerned about my health and welfare even asking if there was anything I needed whilst incarcerating in hospital and if necessary she would have made special trips to "visit". Whenever I was feeling down all I had to do was think of Dani and I would be able to “feel the presence of Nurse Dani” even though physically she was not there but nevertheless giving me solace. Dani is also someone that you can talk to and she will listen and offer you advice even if it means you deserve a severe “telling off” for she is open and honest and forthright but more importantly has become a friend, a best mate, someone who despite their own problems is concerned enough to care about others but you have to earn that respect and friendship. So on Saturday 28/01 after an absence of almost 3 months I was greeted with a very big hug and kisses with a few tears in my eyes, Xmas happened 1 month later and we talked and we laughed (amongst other things) for the next 3 hours. I was just so happy to be with Dani that several times we just laid there in each others arms without saying anything or doing anything and it felt good to be alive and with this LADY , who if you treat her with the respect she deserves will take you into her heart as I feel she has done with me. Dani truly is a remarkable LADY, one that I feel proud to be acquainted with and one that I feel proud to call a true best friend. And I shall be seeing Dani again before too long. A truly wonderful person.
