All in the name
It always makes me laugh what is in the name. For the purpose of this blog I would like to share with you the reason why the lovely gents use certain names whilst visiting for personal services. before I start may it be clear that this blog refers to no particular person who may have paid me a visit in the past, future or present.

JAMES: In my view I meet a lot of gents who introduce themselves as James, I think this is two fold the first one being yes you have guessed it to mirror an icon James Bond, I guess a lot of men would enjoy his image so whilst visiting for a short time their mind set of being called James is special and why not. I also think James has a certain regal sound to it like James 1st and St James palace.

STEVE: Now this one I reckon comes from that handsome guy from the seventies, The six million dollar man, Steve Austin. He was in his time such an icon, strong, fast and indestructible. I think all my boy friends from my teenage years had a poster of Steve Austin.

DAVE: This is a simple one, Dave is the iconic straight forward easy to remember name it just oozes respect is easy to remember and the same in many different cultures, I also think it is a sexy name so I like it when a Dave pays me a visit.

Other names that have made me laugh in the past are: Nobby, Noddy, Jesus, and believe it or not once or twice the name Shirley, how funny names are when you have a dry sense of humour like me .

Snowdonia
This past weekend I managed a great run up Mynardd Maw on the Nantile ridge the next range of mountains to the West of Snowdon, so pleased with myself I read up about Snowdonia and found some interesting facts here they are.
The English name for the area derives from Snowdon, which is the highest mountain in Wales at 3560 ft (1,085 m). In Welsh, the area is named Eryri. A commonly held belief is that the name is derived from eryr ("eagle"), and thus means "the abode/land of eagles", but recent evidence is that it means Highlands, and is related to the Latin oriri (to rise) as leading Welsh scholar Sir Ifor Williams proved.

The term Eryri first appeared in a manuscript in the 9th-century Historia Brittonum, in an account of the downfall of the semi-legendary 5th-century king Gwrtheyrn (Vortigern).

In the Middle Ages the title Prince of Wales and Lord of Snowdonia (Tywysog Cymru ac Arglwydd Eryri) was used by Llywelyn ap Gruffudd; his grandfather Llywelyn Fawr used the title Prince of north Wales and Lord of Snowdonia.

Before the boundaries of the national park were designated, "Snowdonia" was generally used to refer to a smaller area, namely the upland area of northern Gwynedd centred on the Snowdon massif, whereas the national park covers an area more than twice that size extending far to the south into Meirionnydd. This is apparent in books published prior to 1951, such as the classic travelogue Wild Wales by George Borrow (1862) and The Mountains of Snowdonia by H. Carr & G. Lister (1925). F. J. North, as editor of the book Snowdonia (1949), states "When the Committee delineated provisional boundaries, they included areas some distance beyond Snowdonia proper." The traditional Snowdonia thus includes the ranges of Snowdon and its satellites, the Glyderau, the Carneddau, the Moelwynion and the Moel Hebog group. It does not include the hills to the south of Maentwrog. As Eryri (see above), this area has a unique place in Welsh history, tradition and culture.

There is a movement to make the Welsh name Eryri the region's only name. This would proscribe the terms Snowdonia and Snowdonia National Park from official use, but they could still be used colloquially. The name used is ultimately decided by the park's authority and not the Senedd. A motion put forward by Gwynedd Councillor John Pughe Roberts to rename Snowdonia and Snowdon was rejected in April 2021.The movement is propelled by instances of locals renaming their houses from Welsh to English names, but the motion to ditch the name Snowdonia has faced criticism.

More than 26,000 people live within the park. 58.6% of the population could speak Welsh in 2011.

While most of the land is either open or mountainous land, there is a significant amount of agricultural activity within the park.

The principal ranges of the traditional Snowdonia are the Snowdon massif itself, the Glyderau, the Carneddau, the Moelwynion and the Moel Hebog range. All of Wales' 3000ft mountains are to be found within the first three of these massifs and are most popular with visitors. To their south within the wider national park are the Rhinogydd and the Cadair Idris and Aran Fawddwy ranges. Besides these well-defined areas are a host of mountains which are less readily grouped though various guidebook writers have assigned them into groups such as the 'Arenigs', the 'Tarrens' and the 'Dovey Hills'.

Snowdon's summit at 1085 metres (3560') is the highest in Wales and the highest in Britain south of the Scottish Highlands. At 905 metres (2970') Aran Fawddwy is the highest in Wales outside of northern Snowdonia and Cader Idris at 893 metres (2930'), next in line.

Many of the hikers in the area concentrate on Snowdon itself. It is regarded as a fine mountain, but at times gets very crowded; in addition the Snowdon Mountain Railway runs to the summit.

The other high mountains with their boulder-strewn summits—as well as Tryfan, one of the few mountains in the UK south of Scotland whose ascent needs hands as well as feet—are also very popular. However, there are also some spectacular walks in Snowdonia on the lower mountains, and they tend to be relatively unfrequented. Among hikers' favourites are Y Garn (east of Llanberis) along the ridge to Elidir Fawr; Mynydd Tal-y-Mignedd (west of Snowdon) along the Nantlle Ridge to Mynydd Drws-y-Coed; Moelwyn Mawr (west of Blaenau Ffestiniog); and Pen Llithrig y Wrach north of Capel Curig. Further south are Y Llethr in the Rhinogydd, and Cadair Idris near Dolgellau.

The park has 1,479 miles (2,380 km) of public footpaths, 164 miles (264 km) of public bridleways, and 46 miles (74 km) of other public rights of way. A large part of the park is also covered by right to roam laws.

So their you have it the basic facts of Snowdonia. I love the place especially the outer mountains as described above. Must say though the language is a bit of a tongue twister, use my tongue for far greater important needs.

Local delicacies yum yum
We all enjoy a bit of local grub, so this week during my tour in Sheffield i noticed a billboard advertising a relish called Hendersons. I must admit I had never heard of this product until I saw the advert so I immediately googled the name. It came up as being a Sheffield take on Worcester sauce, not sure how it differs does anyone know, maybe coming from Yorkshire it has a bit of flat cap fragrance.

It got me thinking as you do what other local delicacies do I like, so here are my top three.

In third place: The scotch egg. is this a local well it is named after Scotland. Not to keen on the processed one's you buy from the local garage but more your independent deli type. The egg has to be just short of hard boiled, the meat preferably good quality pork and the outer crumbs large not the silly Paxo stuff. Eating cold is the order of the day.

second place: Another North of the border offering, Haggis, now before you all put your fingers down your throat in disgust, I am not keen on boiled haggis as it tends to be a bit wet although the author does enjoy a bit of wetness but not at the dining table. i prefer oven baked so a little crispiness exists i guess this disguises the true contents of Haggis namely heart, lungs intestine, god do i really like it, it has a warm glow taste to it, their is a chippy in the Lakes amongst others who serve deep fried battered Haggis, after a few hours on the hills, yep ill have it with chips and gravy, what a sin.

First place: For me the one and only gorgeous scrumptious raisin filled Eccles cake, god I have had some good one's over the years, the best I find are a pack of four made by the Lancashire Eccles cake company, they are quite small and made with butter and so juicy and firm just sucking those raisins and licking the outer crust god just glorious.
So their you have it, do you have a favourite local dish let me know, maybe if we meet we could search it out.

RIP Prince Philip
It has to be with great sadness the passing of Prince Philip and my thoughts are with our dedicated queen, how sad for her to lose a husband of over seventy years what an incredible achievement.
Like many people it is difficult to really know what kind of a man he really was ,various tabloids over the many years of his life reporting this and that. What is never in doubt are his many great contributions to the wider society from the military to the D of E awards to of which I achieved my silver standard unfortunately the partying at university but an end to my gold hehe. His respect to nature being the founder of WWO and his undoubtedly respect to his position that had privileges far beyond the normal citizen.
I know he would infuriate certain quarters with his quick thinking wit and statements, I liked him for the simple reason he was a character, being himself not robotic telling it the way it is a bit like me. Just recently I have been watching the crown, not sure how accurate it depicts the history but if to be believed what a life especially his childhood and teenage years imagine having to escape your country of birth in a crate at such a tender age, you can understand his directness and ability to be not afraid to speak his mind.
Prince Philip rest in peace, and still waiting for my invite to the gentleman's lunch club for a date.

Jarvis has gone
Who is Jarvis I hear you SHOUT! well Jarvis is and still will be for a few more days the Love of my life. Jarvis if you have not met him is my Black Jaguar XE. He has been a sweetheart to me always willing when asked and fulfilling my inner desires, that is my motor desires of speed and excitement.

So who is replacing Jarvis, well i did consider various marque but yes the alluring purring Jaguar has yet again grabbed me by his metal paws and dragged me back to his den, I am aquiring an up to date version of the XE. Inaitially like a lot of new marques in the car industry mistakes are made in the first edition, i actually think my current XE is fabulous however going mild hybrid in my mind is the way forward, still driving diesel but with an electric motor giving a wopping 204 bhp and 0 to 60 under seven seconds, what will i do with all that power.

I guess for those who know me I am a girl of little needs and i do not mean in the physical sense, but on the materialistic side i do not holiday a lot, and when i do it tends to be hiking up hills in the UK, not into shopping and expensive restaurants, although a berni inn was once top of my list, the car though gives me pleasure day in day out, week in week out for many years.

So what will i name this new beast, well it is an eiger grey colour so i think it will probably start with G his new name but not really sure what it will be, shall let you know.

James T kirk verses James Bond
Now this is not a discussion on who might be the best shag although I think as cinematic history goes James Bond would seem to take that title outright, Kork on the other hand and this was pointed out to me did have the occasional fling with a lady from Nerus and the odd female space cadet, Kirk was definately a more planted character then Bond but also a rebel at heart, what lady does not like a good looking rebel.

The question is gents who would you rather be so should we take a look at the comparisons, before we do that let's introduce both fictional characters.

James T kirk the T standing for Tiberias after his grandfathers name, good name that Tiberias sounds like a bloke from only way is Essex, was actually born in space, if you have watched the star trek film from 2009 as the young Captain Kirk the film returns right to the time of his birth. In fact whilst his father is captain of the old enterprise he and his mother are evacuated as the enterprise is about to crash his father does not have time to leave his post and consequently killed in action. Kirk is actually born whilst travelling in space on his return to Earth and never meets his father after whom he is named after. He is caught at around twelve years old driving his Uncle's classic car and is always taking on groups of men in fights and always outnumbered but never afraid, he is rebellious and brave as they come.

On the other hand James bond as seen in Skyfall was born in Scotland and orphaned at eight years old, he was brought up by a family friend who eventually we know as Spector not Ronnie Spector but just Spector, he is taught to ski, shoot and kill animals at a very tender age , he has a total natural instinct to win, protect and an ability to get out of a sticky situation, so by all accounts both men have a difficult rebellious and brave up bringing.

So lets examine who you would like to be in fact we can go gender neutral her as each fictional character could be female or male by twisting certain facts.

Captain kirk, Good looking, brave as a Lion, risk taker, a leader and a legend who would not be want to be Captain Kirk

James Bond, mostly good looking dependent on who plays the character, brave as they come, special talent to be invisible. seems to woo the ladies ( i would not say no) drives an Aston Martin.
Both men are absolute legends however their is one thing that one of them can do and the other cannot that for me make's one far more exciting.

Well you know the way I like speed, Captain Kirk can travel at warp speed or the speed of light, imagine that the speed of light, the things we could do with that science.
To think you could visit me spend time together then travel at the speed of light and you wife or GF would never have known you had gone anywhere, but really for me that is what stands out Kirk from Bond travelling at the speed of light imagine the things we could achieve, kirk all the way for me.

Left or right jab
So the big question is are you going for a right jab or a left jab? What do you mean i hear you cry sarakate you are not the angry type, that is correct i am not always have a sweet smile butter would not melt in my mouth look. I want to discuss the Covid vaccine , left jab as on the labour side being yes i will take it, the Right jab being conservative i may do but not sure. The stats are added in our favour that the vaccine is the best way out, my thoughts are look back to the beginning of the century, mumps, rubella, measles, etc these viruses were devastating to whom ever caught them and sometimes having life long implications, let us not forget this time, all to easy to get used to popping a pill and all are aches and pains gone! not the case with C-19 it will not disappear until we make it so i say take the jab, left or right arm, just get it.

Turkey lurkey Goosey gander?
Deep breath and what a year, totally unbelievable it is almost 2021, how have you all been? I am doing fine thank you for asking, no really all is good in the house of SK, You may know like other ladies i have lost almost three months of income this year so not great for the SK pension fund but alive and kicking and hopefully after the winter lockdown eases i shall be travelling up and down the UK spreading happiness amongst other things.

So the main question is what is your favourite Christmas main course. I have to admit turkey is okay if you have a chain saw to cut it, quite often a little dry but on the plus side it is a healthy bird if not totally ugly both in life and death, poor old Turkey lurkie.

My favourite Christmas platter has to go to the gammon joint, i can see your lips now getting wet ooops!. just that smell and the sweetness of hpney just slightly burnt on the top you cannot beat it, so gammon it is.
I have tried Goose but no not for me just to dark and earthy, must admit the vegetarian wellington can be a good alternative to meat.

So their you have it folks have a wonderful New year , stay safe and keep a look out for my new destinations in 2021, up and away i say, cheers everyone love you all SK XXXX

The village green
I have just completed my first tour of beautiful Harrogate, after running up Happy valley park and around the stray it made me think just were does the village green originate so here is my take on the history of one of my favourite places whether in a tiny Yorkshire dales village or in one of the of London villages. The history dates back to Norman times when the village green was used for the purpose of feeding animals not like today for the feeding the ducks or just being pretty it had a very important use well in my younger days it was a place to make out as well!
Most village greens in England originated in the Middle Ages. Individual greens may have been created for various reasons, including protecting livestock from wild animals or human raiders during the night, or providing a space for market trading.

In most cases where a village green is planned, it is placed in the centre of a settlement. Village greens can also be formed when a settlement expands to the edge of an existing area of common land, or when an area of waste land between two settlements becomes developed.

Some historical village greens have been lost as a result of the agricultural revolution and urban development. Greens are now most likely to be found in the older villages of mainland Europe, the United Kingdom, and older areas of the United States.

Some greens that used to be a common or otherwise at the centre of a village have been swallowed up by a city growing around them. Sometimes they become a city park or a square, and manage to maintain a sense of place. London has several of these, such as Newington Green, with Newington Green Unitarian Church anchoring the northern end.

Town expansion in the mid-20th century led in England to the formation of local conservation societies, often centring on village green preservation, as celebrated and parodied in The Kinks' album The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society. The Open Spaces Society is a present-day UK national campaigning body which continues this movement.

So next time you sit feeding the ducks and geese or having a midnight shag by the green think about the history it is really fascinating.

The doubt is defeated
In life you sometimes doubt your own self ability, no matter how successful you may be, either professionally, in love or sport etc you always come across barriers that you either break through or just walk around, this weekend i broke through one of my barriers. As you all know i am really in to my fitness and outdoor adventure however when out hiking i always seem to be quite placid when the walk changes from a hike to a scramble on rock, i am quite nervous about exposure and frightened to fall and hurt myself.

This week i conquered what to many would be a simple climb up a gully in the peak district, i had tried this grade 1 gully once before, but turned back in defeat, this time the weather was dry and i had been practicing my fell running with some short rocky climbs i was up for this personal challenge
I knew their were three short climbs to negotiate one balancing on rocks over a pool and jumping onto a rock ledge and two step like climbs not vey high but a little tricky, the gully is fairly narrow and i negotiated the first leap of faith with vigour, the second and third a little bit more tricky with hand holds being needed , i negotiated these slowly and successfully and felt this was my little triumph, i looked down the gully from the top and a Scotsman walked passed me and asked if i had climbed up i replied 'yes' he was most impressed, it is not important what you do but in my mind you do it for yourself, individual challenges are wonderful to achieve, i am already planning my next gully climb maybe even a grade two.

Lockdown lessons
When the full lockdown was announced late in March I was sitting in my hotel room on a tour of Bournemouth, it was the Monday evening and a full week was in swing, what was I meant to do? looking out of the window I noticed an uneasy and unfamiliar silence on the street below, shops were no longer open supermarkets had a limited amount of food, Tuesday came and went. on the Wednesday morning I decided it was time to accept the inevitable and return home. driving back up North I knew life was about to change and escorting was out of the question for the foreseeable future. I decided that after a break of a few years web cam was the way forward, I must admit I was feeling very anxious about the future and what was this lock down time about to teach me.
The first two weeks of webcam were slow, some days I would just sit there for an hour before anyone came on for a chat, then I realised how the system worked and began to have regulars returning, having laughs and great chat, I also started phone chat and felt more confident about the future and less anxious, by the sixth week of lock down I had a routine of my home made gym , cam work and phone chat as well as being able to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and feeling very comfortable to be at home and reconnecting with my local area and neighbours.
So what have I learned? well I now know how to colour and trim my own hair, to file my own nails, more importantly I have learned to enjoy life and respect time and not put so much emphasise on work. I will now every six weeks take time off from touring and stay at home to cam , to reconnect with family and my local area. For me lock down was a positive experience, yes less money in my pocket and most definitely missing my regular clientele, happiness is more then just financial gain, just being at home, healthy and having great family is the best that is my lesson.

What hotel with a bell
As you all know I tour most corners of the UK visiting some fabulous towns and cities. The feeling of meeting regular guests catching up on gossip and having mutual pleasure is just the best as well as greeting gents I am meeting for the first time, always slightly anxious but excited at the same time. So how do I pick the right hotel? It is a combination of a number of factors, cost, availability, location, and convenience.
I tend to stay at a cross section of hotels from chain budget brands to city centre luxury.
Cost is a major factor it has to be affordable, yes it would be amazing to stay in some top hotels but affordability is the first factor, availability is what it is some hotels are on the small side and just to intimate, I need to stay invisible whilst offering services, location wise is more flexible as long as the surrounding area feels safe then I may pick city centre or just off the motorway. Convenience ie no fussy reception, parking close by, and easy room access.
I have arrived at hotels and walked straight out due to various factors I also find more establishment's having security cards to enter corridors and lifts so the search always continues to find the best hotels to have the naughtiest of moments.

As the world slows down
The world in many ways has slowed down because of Covoid 19 although not if you are a health worker it must be very traumatic, heart breaking and frightening. My life for hopefully this short period of time has slowed down dramatically and I guess like many of my escort colleagues we are thinking about the future and preparing.
Personally I have taken very little time off rom work over the last few years so I see the first few weeks of lock down as a time to reflect and rest, gardening, decorating etc, fitness wise I have a lot of equipment at home so besides the real heavy lifting that is on hold at present I am still training and running just that bit more so all is well on that front, I am missing seeing those who are nearest and dearest to me this aspect of lockdown I find difficult. I have been reflecting on how I conduct my business and one area I have had time to look into new destinations some more local , new hotels to meet visitors just trying to change and refresh things a little after all I have plenty of time.
I enjoy being at home for the time being after all I spend very little time just chilling in my beautiful home town of Chester although no where to actually go , but times will change I am sure we all have to hang in there.
So yes some new locations. hotels so when escorting is back on track and safe to offer I shall be around in all my glory, enjoy the beginning of summer hugs and kisses, stay safe.

The new world for a short time
Well who would have thought the UK in total lockdown. I was on tour in Bournemouth as the new rules were broadcasted and I thought Sara get your arse back home. The only problem was my bedroom window was over looking the stunning Bournemouth beach how can I leave this glorious place. I did in fact stay a couple more days but by the Wednesday decided to be a good citizen and returned home, must say the two hundred and fifty mile journey was an absolute joy, no travel delays, just beautiful smooth tarmac with my XE in sport mode, this is the life I thought, blue sky, great car, feeling well and healthy.
One interesting fact I noticed whilst the roads were quiet is the amount of road kill on the side of the road, countless pheasants and even some quite large deer, not the sort of thing you really notice when the roads are choc a block.
So what comes now with three weeks of lockdown. writing blogs, some webcamming and phone chat may be even some outcalls who knows, looking forward to the end of this challenging period for all are sakes, so keep fit , keep healthy and stay in touch.
